Gears does has tons of glitches, but they dont half make me and my mates laugh when they happen.
Killzone 2 aswell, I loved some of the situation where the enemies would get stuck and act bizzare.
Exactly, one of my favourite things about games is trying to find the hidden easter eggs the devs have put around.
There have been plently in the past few Halo games. They're fun!
I cant see what all the fuss is about, there were quite a few sections in Halo:CE & Halo 2 where in campaign you could skip sections if you wanted using glitches. It didn't detract from the quality of those two games.
Plenty of games are released with glitches, big titles are no exception.
Yeah, again I was being a hypocrite, I know that. That was my point. Thank You.
@bluehefner - I didn't really think Killzone 2 was bad, I actually thought it was good and cant wait till the next to find out what happened after that really good ending. That game was the reason I wanted to get a PS3, and then bought Infamous and Uncharted both of which were great.
@Hellangelzx - You got me there, I was being a hypocrite. I just wanted to be like everyone else on this site. Because only an idiot or fool according to some people can like a generic FPS like Hal...
Looks good to me, more interesting than Killzone 2 imo. That game bored the hell out of me with its repetitive generic gameplay and dull uninspired locations. I mean plodding along from a dull looking city-scape to a rocky desert and then back again, probably done to hide the terribly flat textures.
Cant wait to get ODST when it comes out, i'm glad I pre-ordered it for £25 (thats about $40) from GAME.
Perhaps people think Halo Reach & ODST will be good because its Halo, for the reason that all the previous Halo games have been good.
Just like people expect GT5 & GOWIII to be great games because those titles are associated with the quality of previous titles.
Ok Aquarius if your fainting from playing games I suggest you sit further away from your TV, it might help.
Totally agree, I will be enjoying both consoles great line-ups to come.
Also, I too didn't have to spend thousands to turn my PC into a great gaming rig, £300 for a new graphics card and 6 Gigs of RAM was all I needed to spend to get Crysis & Warhead running on maximum graphics. I've also been enjoying other great games like Empire Total War & Dawn of War 2 which cant be played on any console.
But as many of the articles on numerous sites have said b...
Your right, Bioware and Epic Games WILL take advantage of the PS3 install base. But not with Gears or Mass Effect im afraid because its likely agreements were made to keep them both exclusive.
And if Ubisoft decide to make Splinter Cell a 360 exclusive that will be because of a deal aswell with MS, but I should imagine that is only timed.
To MS it doesn't really matter if it has the best exclusive line-up or not because they are going to make lots of money anyway from the titles that can be played on both PC and 360 like splinter cell, alan wake and mass effect and all of the multi-platform games that will be released.
Why? Because guess what fanboys, that little symbol on almost all pc games that says 'Games For Windows' means that MS got paid by developers/publishers to use it. Exclusivity to MS means nothing ...
Hang on, i'm one of these "fanboy resistant gamers" and I didn't think that Halo was a kids game at all. Perhaps you were unimpressed because you play games on the easiest setting and still cant complete them? Or you have a short attention span?
But I agree with the comments that even if it is a contender it certainly doesn't deserve to become GOTY, there are far more interesting games coming out. Arkham Asylum would be my pick.
Wow, how desperate are you putting down the 360 and VGChartz at every turn.
Every single article about the 360 sales vs the ps3 sales you seem to be critisizing it.
Do you have anytime to spare to play on your PS3? Or do you not enjoy it enough?
I too cant understand how harsh some of the users and comments are towards VGChartz.
As the guy said a business will use a number of different companies to do market research and provide statistical figures for them and they will always come up with different numbers. From what I have seen VGChartz is never far off from NPD and as stated who can say that anybody's figures are perfectly accurate?
It seems to me that recently when i read such articles like this the...
Maybe someone would buy a 360 for some games. Is that not what these consoles are for?
True, I think Microsofts attitude toward the consumers who buy Arcade is one of 'what they don't know wont hurt them'. And they will try to keep this up as long as possible.
The Arcade is a useful system for those who want to replace their broken 360 not covered by the warranty and don't trust Microsoft to repair the problem or might think its worth paying that bit extra for the updated hardware in the newer versions of the console.
I've actually changed my mind on this after reading the Eurogamer interview, i'm no longer wanting to buy this.
A stats progression system works for something like DOWII but I cant see it fitting into C&C. This game sounds far too different to the original for my liking.
Hope they bring out a demo for me to at least try though.
I'm failing to understand where all these extra costs of development have gone into! As said there doesn't appear to have been any major graphical leap so its probably using the same engine. There was a distinct lack of any real destructible objects in the previous one which when compared to a lot of other current-gen FPS makes COD4 look so old and takes away the immersion from the game.
And the AI in the first irritated the hell out of me. The enemy soldiers just knew where y...
I'm going to get this game regardless, so according to a lot of users on this site and the reviewer that means my taste in games must suck, and I only have the mental age of a child or am of low intelligence because thats apparently who this game is targeted at.
Do you know what? I couldn't care less. I'll still enjoy it.
